The Support You Need and Deserve

I was inspired to create this program after caring for surrogates and intended parent(s) as a midwife. quickly realized that routine obstetric care was falling short in terms of providing them with the care they needed and deserved. There are birth considerations and early postpartum scenarios that are very unique within a surrogacy pregnancy.

While coaching is not medical care, I offer a critical layer of support to help you to demystify the medical process and enter into parenthood with confidence, all while honoring the preferences of everyone involved,

This is one of the most transformational times of your life. Whether you are carrying the baby or waiting to hold your baby in your arms, your experience matters.

The picture above, shares with permission, features two new dads surrounding their surrogate with gratitude and awe.

And what if this kind of  support was right at your fingertips?

What if you could access to this critical layer of support, all from the comfort of your own couch?

Hi. I'm Lucy

Hospital-based midwife, holistic health coach, and mother of two.

I started Mad River Birth and Wellness when I realized how many people were needing and wanting more than what they were receiving in their routine obstetric care.

Woven into all of my virtual sessions and online education is a integrative background as both a medical and holistic practitioner. As a Yale-trained, hospital-based midwife for over a decade and a clinical instructor for resident physicians, I am well-versed in modern obstetrics. I blend my medical background with a passion for holistic  health. My philosophy of care is one of balance

I am here for you each step of the way!
