Hi friends,

Most of my coaching work is in the preconception, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum realm, but recently there has been a wave of women seeking perimenopausal support and integrative health guidance outside of pregnancy. I just wanted to say in writing that I AM HERE FOR IT!

A coaching client came to me last week with an issue of waking extremely early in the morning (often at 3am!) and then being unable to get back to sleep. This has been happening very regularly since her early 40s and only seemed to be getting worse. She had seen Airway + Sleep Medicine specialists as well as her OB-GYN, a therapist, and her PCP. She tried pharmaceuticals for sleep but woke up feeling groggy and didn't feel like that was the path for her. She was told she was depressed, even though she did not feel depressed. And although she knew hormonal therapy might be helpful down the line, she wasn't quite ready for it. My client was ready to address her sleep issues from an integrative perspective.

In a 60-min virtual “targeted session", I listened, gathered information, and asked questions to learn all about her life + habits. We then made a plan that included honoring her circadian rhythm, stress mitigation, nutritional support, and gentle nervine herbs at night. The plan was custom-made for her and simple to follow. My client texted 3 days into implementing these simple yet powerful habits and said that for the past two nights she did not wake early. For two nights in a row she received 8 straight hours of uninterrupted sleep, after averaging 5 hours per night for years! She felt like a new person.

If you are looking for pregnancy or integrative health coaching, I would be honored to work with you. See offerings below or hit reply to this email to chat more!

Better Sleep

As winter sets in, especially in northernTo sleep better and to optimally release your own endogenous melatonin, expose your naked eyes to morning sunlight (no sunglasses.) Ideally, limit blue light from screens or any bright lights at night. I love Himalayan Salt Lamps in the bedroom for mellow lighting if you wake up in the middle of the night or need to change a baby diaper in stealth mode.
